Job Description

We are looking for a rockstar android frontend engineer. Company is founded by ex-Facebook and ex-Softbank leaders who have experience building multi-billion dollar businesses & launching products used by billion plus people across the globe. Company’s investors are a list of whos-who in the world of web3, creator economy and leading venture capitalists and entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities:

• Set the technology vision for the product & platform in-line with the company’s bold vision
• Act as both a technology expert and a business partner, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company
• Be a hands-on coder building world class platform
• Be a founding team executive and help shape culture and strategy
• Create prototypes of new ideas and explore new technologies at the forefront of mobile technology
• Lead the development of Android photo/video/audio modules with a focus on layer-based image manipulation
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of these modules
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Key Requirements:

• 4+ years working in a tech role on the core engineering team with progressive experience. Demonstrated hard-core hands on coding skills.
• Knowledge of Java, RxJava, Kotlin, Android APIs, NDK and design patterns
• Deep understanding on OOPs, Data Structures & Algorithms
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Experience with MVVM architecture, Git & Unit Testing
• Complete understanding of SDLC, SOLID principles, etc
• Experience with Material Design and Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Must have led, built, launched & run consumer apps with millions of users globally
• Advanced tech skill set and a demonstrated history with innovation and new age apps
• Proven track record in creating strong cross-functional relationships and delivering on business objectives in an innovative and fast paced environment. Entrepreneurial / small company experience is a plus
• Experience building design tools / marketplaces / community-led platforms in a web3 environment preferred
• Must be able to effectively communicate with excellent communication skills, document ideas and articulate the reasons for your decisions

Good to have:

• Understanding of OpenCV, ML kit, OpenGL and/or ARCore
• Experience in building community features around the app
• Active social presence in various developer communities like Stack Overflow, Github, etc
• intermediate knowledge about photography & filmmaking
