Our founders
Our founders bring deep expertise in the consumer technology with years of experience of building, scaling, and growing global products.
Kirthiga brings over two decades of experience leading technology-driven transformations to her role at Virtualness. She is driven by the mantra, “When businesses succeed, livelihoods flourish.”
Prior to Virtualness, she was the first female Investment Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers, manager of the $130B+ SoftBank Vision Fund. She focused on frontier, enterprise, and health tech investments, where she led approximately $1B in new investments across fast-evolving sectors such as web3, metaverse, gaming, quantum computing etc. She managed an overall portfolio of over $5B.
Kirthiga has held the role of Managing Director for Facebook India and South Asia, starting as their first employee in India. At Facebook, she started one of four global operations offices that now serve 3B+ people; built APAC SMB business; grew India business to several $100Ms annual revenue and got investment buy-in for path to $1B.
Kirthiga holds an MBA from Stanford University, where she graduated with highest honors as an Arjay Miller Scholar and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. She has been recognized as Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business”, Fortune India’s “Most Powerful Women,” and has served as the Chair of the Stanford Business School Management Board amongst other recognitions.
Saurabh helmed key leadership roles over two decades of his career across technology and media. He is passionate about evolution of new technology, having played pivotal role in several transitions e.g. Web2, Mobile, Video, Social, Creator Economy and is now passionate about building the infrastructure blocks for Web3 & AI leading to the Metaverse.
Formerly Saurabh held senior leadership roles at Meta for nearly a decade, heading Emerging Markets for Creator Products & Partnerships & Managing Director Asia-Pacific leading all Entertainment Experiences on Facebook and Instagram. Before Meta, Saurabh was Vice President & Business Head at Viacom Group, heading digital initiatives, Star India & Investment Banker with Bank of America. Saurabh has worked across geographies managing large teams & launched several products which went on to be used by billion plus users.
He was the Chairperson of the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Asia-Pacific, was recognized as 40underForty Winner by India’s Impact Magazine, among Top 100 Global Talent by the UK Government's Tech Nation List & Awardee President Kalam Innovation and Governance Award. Saurabh is a Chartered Accountant, member of Institute of Chartered Accounts of India, Associate member of Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants & holds an MBA degree from SP Jain School of Management.

Authenticity & Ownership: Digital products created on Virtualness are minted with a unique smart contract ID which serves as a certificate of authenticity for the person or party that created it. Fraud Reduction: We are integrating polyscan capabilities which allows anyone to scan a digital good and see its entire ledger of owners from minter to current owner.
